We are thrilled to announce that Allie Pepper, Besins Healthcare's menopause ambassador, has successfully summited Cho Oyu, reaching a height of 8,188 meters.
Known as the "Turquoise Goddess" by Tibetans for its shimmering glacial colors, this achievement is a significant step in Allie’s quest to conquer all 14 peaks above 8000 meters without supplemental oxygen.
Allie and her climbing partner, Mikel, began their ascent at 11:55 PM CST from Camp 3. After braving harsh conditions, they reached the weather station by 8:16 AM CST and pushed on to the summit just 22 minutes later. Despite challenges like frost nip and a broken boot heater, Allie returned to Base Camp by 7 PM CST, exhausted yet triumphant.
